My husband beat us at bowling AND air hockey.

All guests receive one free game of bowling each day of their stay. We played some arcade games and tried the 20-lane bowling alley. We also decided to check out the Level 6 Entertainment Center. They even have breakfast margaritas! If you’re anywhere in the area definitely go check them out! Drive out of your way if you need to! Seriously! You won’t regret it!Īfter breakfast we spent the day soaking up the sun and swimming at the resort. We ended up getting some rain on our second day so we were thrilled to have the indoor pools and a 232-foot lazy river. Johnny D’s serves omelettes, waffles, pancakes, French toast, benedicts, skillets, pastries, bagels, and biscuits. I loved that we had a view of the pools and the ocean!įor breakfast we headed to Johnny D’s Waffles and Bakery! It’s no surprise that they are rated #1 on TripAdvisor! Definitely a must try if you’re ever in Myrtle Beach. Chef Jamie Saunders invited us to come try it out and we were all blown away! I need this place to become a franchise so they can build one right beside my house asap.

We stayed in an Angle Oceanfront Suite (room 546) which has a small kitchen and separate room and tv for the kids. I chose the Captain’s Quarters Resort specifically for the lazy river and Shipwreck Lagoon Kids’ Waterpark.

We were invited by Vacation Myrtle Beach property group to try out one of their 14 oceanfront properties.

We just got home from Myrtle Beach! It’s only about 6 hours from us and the drive is easy and relaxing. We had pina coladas while watching the hula and fire show, a must see! Walking distance to family kingdom amusement park, no need to carry drinks from hotel to save$, we bought ice waters for $0.50 ea at the concession stands! We would definitely book with captain quarter's next year.Travel Vacation Myrtle Beach | Captain’s Quarters Resort | Day 1 Made tie dye tees for $10 ea, could have saved $5 ea if I brought my own tees. Mixed drinks at tiki bar were weak, and overpriced. Room was acceptable, staff was very friendly, and most importantly the guests seemed to all be on the same page with it being a family friendly resort. So we complained and was refunded a percentage. We paid for "ocean front" and yes that's what we got, but it was more like ocean "view" because of the angle, half our ocean front view was blocked by other rooms.

Again, not end of the world, just a convenience issue, which was fixed after our 3rd night. Ice maker on our floor was broken upon arrival, had to walk around unfamiliar resort about 30 min to find the main machines. Makes it imposdible to research any entertainment, but it wasn't the end of the world, since the front desk offered to help research. A staff member was walking past and helped lower the fully loaded trollies with luggage down 5 steps. Glad to have covered garage for unloading(sun/rain) But getting luggage from garage to room was a challenge using the luggage trolly, considering there was a flight of stairs from garage to hall, leading to all elevators. My family of 4(myself, husband, 10 and 8 yr olds) had a wonderful stay in August.
